** LONDON HEATHROW **
The airport is located 15 miles (24km) to the west of central London and there are excellent transport links to the city and beyond.
Travelling by Train
The Heathrow Express is the quickest way into central London. Trains leave Heathrow airport from approximately 0500 until 2330. Standard fares are £13 single and £25 return. Journey time is 15-20 minutes and the service is non-stop to Paddington station. The Heathrow Express calls the two stations serving the airport, one for Terminal 1-3 and the other for Terminal 4. Reduced fares are available if you book ahead.
Going by Tube
The Piccadilly line connects Heathrow airport to central London and the rest of the Tube system. It is the cheapest way to travel but it takes a lot longer and is less comfortable than the Heathrow Express. There are trains every few minutes from approximately 0500 (0550 Sundays) to 2345 (2250 Sundays). A single ticket into central London (Zone 1) costs £3.80. Journey time to Piccadilly Circus is about 50 minutes. There are two Underground stations at Heathrow Airport, serving Terminals 1-3 and Terminal 4.
Coach Services
National Express runs frequent coach services between Heathrow?s central bus station and Victoria Coach Station. The journey takes 45 min - 1 hour. Some services stop en route in Hammersmith or Earl's Court. Standard tickets cost £10 single or £15 return. Services from Heathrow commence around 0530 and run until 2130. Coaches from Victoria leave from around 0715 until 2330. When travelling by coach it is advisable to check details of the service and consider booking in advance, particularly at weekends or peak times. Also, allow plenty of time in case of road delays.
Bus Services
During the night, the N9 runs every 30 minutes to central London (Trafalgar Square).
By Taxi
There are usually black cabs queuing for customers at Heathrow airport. The cost of the cab is metered and displayed inside the cab. Extra charges, such as evening and weekend journeys are also shown here. A journey into central London will cost in the region of £40. Tipping, about 10% of the fare, is optional. ** LONDON GATWICK **
Gatwick airport is located 28 miles (45km) south of London. The two terminals, North and South, are linked by an efficient monorail service, with a journey time of two minutes.
Travelling to Gatwick by Rail
The Gatwick Express is the quickest way into central London. Trains leave Gatwick Airport from 0435 to 0135. The station is in the South Terminal and linked to other parts by escalators and lifts. At peak times trains run every 15 minutes (from 0605 to 2005) and roughly every 30 minutes off-peak. Standard fares are £12 single and £23.50 return. Journey time is 30 minutes and the service is non-stop to Victoria station.
You can also get the Thameslink train to London Bridge, Blackfriars and King?s Cross stations. Trains leave approximately every 30 minutes. A standard fares adult single is £9.80. The journey to London Bridge takes 40 minutes.
South Central Trains services operate every 15 minutes during the day between Gatwick and Victoria - and every hour between 0100 and 0400. The journey time is 45 min. A standard single ticket costs £8. This service runs from Victoria station to both terminals and takes a little longer than the Gatwick Express.
Go by Coach
National Express runs frequent services between the Gatwick and Victoria Coach Station. Coaches run approximately hourly and the journey time is one hour 30 mins. Some services stop at Hooley, Wallington, Mitcham Junction, Mitcham London Rd, Streatham, Stockwell and Pimlico. Standard fares are £6 single/£11 return.
Go by Taxi
There are usually cabs queuing for customers at the airport. Find out from the driver how much your journey will cost beforehand. Only use a black cab or reputable mini-cab and never use unauthorised drivers who offer their services at airports or stations. A metered trip in a black cab to/from central London will cost around £70. The official Gatwick taxi concession is Checker Cars.

** LONDON CITY **
London City Airport (LCY) is situated approximately 6 miles (9.5km) east of Central London and just 3 miles (4.8km) from Canary Wharf.
Travelling by Bus
The Blue Airport Shuttlebus operates between Liverpool Street station and the airport. It runs every 10/15 min during the week and every 25 min at weekends. Services go via Canary Wharf. The journey takes around 25 min. Tickets cost £6 single. Services run 0655 - 2120 Mon-Fri, 0645 - 1315 on Sat and 1155 ? 2120 on Sun.
The Green Airport Shuttlebus links the airport with Canning Town station, which is on the Jubilee Line. Buses depart every 10 min from 0600 (1005 on Sun) until 2220 (1315 on Sat). The journey takes only 5 min and an adult single costs £2.
Travelling by Underground/DLR- routes
Catch an Airport Shuttlebus to Canning Town or Canary Warf, catch a Jubilee Line Tube or Docklands Light Railway service.

Travelling to the Airport by Train
Thameslink operates regular services to stations including King?s Cross, Farringdon, London Bridge and Blackfriars in central London, and beyond to Brighton. Trains leave Luton airport from approximately 0700 to 2200 Mon-Fri and 0900 to 2000 on Sunday. The journey time is 30-40 minutes. A standard single costs £9.50. A regular shuttle bus links the airport to Luton Airport Parkway rail station in around eight minutes.
Travelling by Coach
Greenline 757 goes to Victoria Coach Station with stops at Brent Cross, Finchley Road Station, Baker Street and Marble Arch. Services run from 0300 until 0000 daily from three times an hour. The journey takes 1 hour 10 min. A one-way ticket is £8.50.
Going by Taxi

Journey time is one hour and 40 minutes. This service runs at intervals of up to an hour. Standard tickets cost £10 single/£15 return.
Train:
Stansted Express is the quickest way into central London. Trains leave Stansted Airport from 0600 to 2359. At peak times they run every 15 minutes (from 0800 to 1700 Mon-Fri) and every 30 minutes off-peak. Standard fares are £13.80 single and £24 for return. Journey time is 41 minutes and trains stop at Tottenham Hale station before terminating at Liverpool Street station.
